Larry Dooley

Larry Dooley is Chair of the Department of Theatre in the College of the Arts at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, a position he has held since 2010. Previously, he was Chair of Performing Arts (Music, Theatre, and Dance) and Professor of Theatre at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, and also taught for two years as a full-time visiting professor at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Professor Dooley teaches across the curriculum and directs regularly during the theatre season.

Professor Dooley was first elected to the NAST Commission on Accreditation in 2019 for a one-year term, and was re-elected in 2020.

Professor Dooley holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Theatre History and Criticism from Indiana University, Bloomington, and a Master of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina.
