P. Gibson Ralph

P. Gibson (Trish) Ralph is Chair of the Department of Theatre and Music Studies at State University College at Brockport, where she has served as Scenic Designer for the past twenty-five years. Before beginning her tenure at State University College at Brockport, she had for seventeen years been a freelance scenic and lighting designer for both professional AEA and professional non-AEA houses in New York, Canada, Ireland, and the West Indies. She has served the Association for Theatre in Higher Education as Focus Group Representative for Design and Technology and for Senior Theatre, as well as a member of the Governance Committee as both Member at Large for Finance and Member at Large for Operations. She has been the circuit coordinator for KCACTF Region II for the past twelve years.

Professor Ralph began her teaching career at Northern Michigan University, where she served as a scenic and costume designer, as well as head of the Humanities Division III department. She later joined the faculty of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf as scenic, lighting, and costume designer, later serving as the artistic director for the program.

Professor Ralph served NAST previously as a member of the Committee on Nominations.

Professor Ralph earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree from MacMurray College.
