Richard Klautsch

Richard Klautsch has been a Professor of Theatre at Boise State University for twenty-four years and Chair of the Department of Theatre Arts for nineteen. He has acted (as an AEA member) and directed for eight seasons at Boise Contemporary Theater, and performed for twenty-one seasons at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. Since 2004, he has performed for three seasons at the Great Lakes Theatre Festival in Cleveland. In the fall of 2006 he was a guest artist and professor at University of California, Santa Barbara. In the summer of 2014 he performed at the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival.

In 2011, Professor Klautsch was named Administrator of the Year by the Boise State University Association of Office Professionals; in 2012, he received the same recognition from the Idaho Association of Educational Office Professionals.

Professor Klautsch was elected to the NAST Commission on Accreditation as a member in 2014.

Professor Klautsch received his Master of Fine Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit.
